"This film narrates a journey on the CNR steamship route along the 'inside passage,' from Vancouver to Alaska. The CNR steamships 'Prince Rupert' and 'Prince George' are seen departing from Vancouver. Views of the coast and towns along the route are shown, including Ocean Falls and Prince Rupert, British Columbia; Ketchikan, Alaska; the Stikine River; totem poles at Wrangall, Alaska; Skagway, Alaska; the Taku and Mendenhall glaciers; and, Juneau, capital of Alaska. The film shows an Alaskan sunset, a pet bear, and rose gardens. The journey continues across land through White Pass to White Horse. A mountie watches over the Alaska - Yukon border. Views are shown of Carcross, Lake Atlin, a man panning for gold on Pine Creek, the Miles Canyon, White Horse rapids, Dawson, Sam McGee's cabin, and the sun shining at midnight."
