Don't miss Journée du film de famille/Home Movie Day taking place this October 18, 2014. Hosted by the Cinémathèque Québécoise for the very first time, Home Movie Day -- an annual event organized by Center for Home Movies since 2002 -- is today held in over 30 locations across a dozen countries to showcase the works of numerous amateur filmmakers of the 20th century, to share information on the conservation of this threatened heritage, as well as to celebrate and help disseminate this "other cinema" of astonishing diversity. Part of the program is a ciné-concert “Autour du monde en Kodachrome,” featuring a triptych projection of 16mm travel films by a Quebecer amateur filmmaker with musical accompaniment by the group Héliodrome. The Journée du film de famille/Home Movie Day is co-organized by Annie Hardy and Cesif Research Coordinator Louis Pelletier. Watch the trailer here.
