"This film depicts a snowshoe marathon for the championship of the world and concentrates on the following participants, Arthur Newton, Peter Gauzzi, Joie Ray, Edouard Fabre, M.B. McNamara and Frank Hoey. The course of the race extended from Quebec City to Trois-Rivières to L'Assomption and finally to Montreal, covering a distance of 200 miles. Over 100,000 spectators were present in Montreal to welcome the winner, Mr. Frank Hoey, who established a new record. Second went to Arthur Newton in a time of 27 hours and 58 minutes. Third place went to Fred Desroches. Germaine d'Arcy, Queen of the Marathon, was also present at the Montreal finish line. Also shown are: H.F.
