"This film promotes the University of Waterloo, which has gained an international reputation for its innovation and research. With its fine balance of arts, sciences and technology, Waterloo is a training ground for individual development. Masters and doctoral graduates contribute to all areas of Canada's future. In biological engineering, Murray Moo-Young gained world-wide recognition for his research on turning pulp mill sludge into high protein animal feed. Exciting research is carried out daily at Waterloo. Waterloo's math faculty, which includes computer sciences, is the largest in the world. Its in-house mainframe computer allows the use of terminals all over campus. Waterloo is also well-known for its development of advanced software packages. The knowledge of students is given practical application in Waterloo's large co-op program, in which students work for companies such as IBM, Dofasco, NCR, Bell Northern Research, and Mitel. Waterloo has the largest university correspondence program in North America. Despite its ambitious development goals, Waterloo maintains an organized balanced budget. This university is sure to remain in the forefront in respect to technological and academic achievements."
