"Promotional film about the history of Rogers Pass and the difficulties the railway had with it. Shows: ploughing the pass; building the Connaught Tunnel; the closing of the pass by the Canadian Pacific Railway; engineers' recommendations in 1956 for a new pass; the confirmation of Rogers Pass as the best route; scenes of modern construction of the portion of the Trans-Canada Highway running through it; problems encountered in construction; the study of avalanche problems in the area; and a car travelling along the Rogers Pass Highway. Includes a re-enactment of the 1881 discovery of the pass by Major A.B. Rogers."
