Two horses coming down the snow covered slope pulling a load of logs with a man riding on the logs. Horses pull a large container of water which is being poured on the trail to smooth out bumps to facilitate travelling of the log-filled sleighs. A load of logs arrives near the river bank and two men roll the logs off the sled. The logs are piled onto the frozen river to await spring thaw. In the spring a man on the logs drives them down the river. Man log-rolling. A group of men on logs clear a log jam on the river. Two men with long poles sort logs on the river. Logs moving into the mill via a 'Jack Ladder' and moving on a conveyor. Logs being conveyed inside log mill. Bark is stripped off by power saws. Trimmed logs are sliced into 2 inch thick planks of lumber. Planks are cut into board widths and trimmed at ends. Trimmings being put into machine and coming out as laths and being bundled by a man. Saw being sharpened by an automatic grinder. After the lumber is cut into planks it is sorted for quality and size. Shows man pulling out the selected wood from a conveyor.
