"Charles Sternberg is one of the foremost paleontologists of our time. He began collecting dinosaur fossils early in the century in Alberta's Badlands. Along with his father, he perfected the laborious technique of searching, collecting and preparing fossils. In his later years he devoted himself to scientific interpretation of the fossils he had collected, many of which still sit in backlog waiting to be prepared. His last field work was the establishment of the Dinosaur Provincial Park in Alberta. Although retired, he still is active in his work at the National Museum of Natural Sciences, where he is seen giving children a lecture on dinosaurs. Footage from his early expeditions is included in this film."
