"Documentary following the development of aviation from the bush pilot stage through to commercial and post-war aviation. The formation of CP air from ten bush organizations and the role of CPA in organizing the Ferry Command and the Commonwealth Air Training Plan is focused upon. Footage includes: glimpses of Yellowknife, a blizzard and, generally, of the northland in summer and in winter, on the ground and from the air. Aircraft are shown in flight, on the ground, taking on passengers, being repaired, serviced, etc. Included are a CPA Norseman (CF-BAU), Barkley-Grow T8P-1s on skis and on floats (CF-BMW), a Fairchild 71-B, several DC-3s, Lockheed Lodestars, etc. Airports shown, among others, are: Fort McMurray, Fort Smith, Hay River, and Vancouver. There are several aerials of unidentified Canadian cities."
