"Film to attract tourists to the Kawartha Districit. It showcases the landscape, rivers and lakes. There is footage of an aboriginal re-enactment, the Quaker Oats factory, Peterborough, lift locks, workers leaving a factory, leisure activities by the water, churches, residential neighborhoods, flora, market square, golf course, railway lines, ferry, licence plates of out-of-town visitors, animated map showing approximate distances, island homes, Eagle Lake, Rice Lake, camping, floating bridge, watercraft, Deer Lake; fish conservatory, anglers, autumn scenes, hunting and winter scenes. An example of the narrator’s commentary is: 'No boy can grow up properly without camping'."
