"This thirteen-year-old girl is unhappy because she is fat. She is fat because eating helps relieve her feelings of frustration over the lack of communication between herself and her mother. In this case, the girl's parents also receive treatment and after several months the family is brought to an awareness of the relationship between the girl's unmet emotional needs and her overeating. Filmed at the Jewish General Hospital, Montreal."
