"The Molson brewing process of 1958 is demonstrated. Fictional character Dorian Dope is followed on a search for the mysterious 'fifth ingredient' rumoured to be used in Molson ales. Dorian sneaks into the brewery eventually encountering the Master Brewers office where he is discovered and has the brewing process explained to him - through the narrator and visuals. He learns that the fifth ingredient is the brewing experience acquired by Molsons through the years. Demonstrated brewery processes include: bottling - from the initial cleaning through to the filling where 'at last, in a carousel of happiness, the ale and bottles meet'; labratory tests of beer foam stability; taste testing; shipping docks and the red Molson delivery trucks. The brewery footage shows the Montreal location, including exterior shots. The exterior of the Toronto location on the Lakeshore is also shown."
