"To the sounds of a late-60's pop soundtrack, the film opens with a pre-season training camp in which players are seen jogging, working out, getting a massage. There are shots of several players who had an outstanding season including: Phil Esposito who broke 7 records and won the Hart Trophy, Bobby Hull who scored 58 goals, Gordie Howe who scored the 700th goal of his career, Alex Delvecchio who won the Lady Byng Trophy, Ted Hampson, the captain of the Oakland Seals who won the Bill Masterton Trophy, Danny Grant of Minnesota, who won the Calder Trophy, and Glenn Hall and Jacques Plante of St. Louis who won the Vezina Trophy. In the divisional championships, Montréal beat Boston, and St. Louis defeated Los Angeles to advance to the finals. Highlights of the Stanley Cup Finals are shown, which Montréal won. Montréal defenceman Serge Savard won the Conn Smythe Trophy at age 23. The film ends with Jean Béliveau skating off the ice carrying the Stanley Cup."
