"Film deals with the 1952 Canadian Open Golf Championship, held at the St. Charles Golf and Country Club in Winnipeg. Scenes inculded are: introduction of Canadian and US golfers during practice, the four day tournament, and the awards ceremony. The winner was John Palmer of the United States. Stan Leonard won the Rivermead Cup for being the top Canadian finisher."

"The highlights of the 1952 Canadian Open Golf Championship are pictured here. One hundred and forty-two players entered the contest to compete for a total of $15,000. The camera catches such well-known Canadian players as Al Balding of Toronto, Dick Borthwick of Hamilton, Jules Huot of Montreal and Vancouver's Stan Leonard. Each of the four days' play is shown, and the film ends with shots of Palmer's spetacular win followed by presentation of the Seagram Gold Cup."
