"This film encourages the physical education of children who attend rural schools. Although less equipped than their city counterparts these schools are encouraged to implement exercise programs. The class is shown clearing floor space by moving the desks then following the teacher in warm-up exercises. Exercise stations include; skipping, balance beam, ball handling, tumbling and pyramids. Later folk-dances are conducted and the children play a game of hare and hounds. Following exercises the children wash up and are refreshed, ready to work. The film ends with the message that these activities are 'building good citizens in democracy for the Canada of tomorrow. For the strength of the nation lies in the strength of each one of its children'."
