"This film depicts a relay race in which the following pairs of runners participated: Arthur Newton from South Africa and his partner Peter Gauzzi from England; Ollie Wanttinen from Finland and Frank Hoey from Montreal; McNamara from Australia and Joie Ray from Chicago and the final pair Mr. Salo from Passaic, N.J. and Mr. Gardner from Seattle, Washington. The course for this race extended from Montreal to Quebec City to Ste. Anne and back to the Montreal Stadium. Newton and Gauzzi won with a time of 53 hours, 15 minutes and 8 seconds. Second place went to Fager and Jokela with a time of 54 hours, 20 minutes and 12 seconds and third place went to Ray and McNamara with a time of 55 hours and 22 minutes and 37 seconds.
