"A lyrical view of the churches of Nova Scotia, and their music. The film includes a history of several of the older churches in Nova Scotia, including St-Paul's, built in 1749; St. George's, the first Lutheran church built in Canada; St. Matthew's United Church; the Presbyterian Church at Grandpré; the Basilica in Halifax; St. Mary's at Church Point, the largest wooden church in North America; and St. George's Anglican Church in Halifax. Extensive footage of more modern churches is also included. Also discussed is the tradition of Gaelic language services, the introduction of instruments and choirs into various religions."
