"Ninstints is a Haida Indian village located on Anthony Island, a small island north of the Queen Charlottes. The film takes a caring look at it as it is today. It traces the known history of this great totem pole village through archival photographs and excerpts from 2 films made in 1957, and looks at the vital role of the totem pole within Haida society. Anthony Island and its village, Ninstints, were named a UNESCO World Heritage Cultural Site in 1983."
