"This film documents the life and career of George Retzlaff, one of the premier television sports producers in Canada. The Retzlaff family emigrated from Germany in the 1920's and settled in Winnipeg. George Retzlaff started as a radio technician in Winnipeg before moving to Toronto to become the first Hockey Night in Canada television producer. As well as hockey, Retzlaff covered a wide variety of sports for television, including the Olympics, and the Canadian Open Golf Championship. Also included are interviews with his family and co-workers."
