"This film describes the process by which fishermen catch fish off the coast of Nova Scotia. Footage includes: illustrations of the Continental Shelf, and explanations as to why the Banks attract fish in such large numbers; shots aboard a trawler showing men repairing nets; checking the depth of the water; placing, setting and hauling nets in and out of the water; cleaning the fish and putting them on ice; returning to port and emptying the hold; sending the fish to market where it is enjoyed by the public."
