"The film opens with the opening ceremonies of the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto. Shots of Prime Minister John Diefenbaker addressing the crowd, as well as candid shots of Jean Béliveau, Doug Harvey, Maurice "Rocket" Richard, Milt Schmidt, George Armstrong, George "Punch" Imlach, and Hector "Toe" Blake. Inside the Hall, Frank Willis gives a brief history of the Stanley Cup, saying that it originally cost $50.00 and was donated by Frederick Arthur, Lord Stanley of Preston in 1893. Imlach and Blake discuss what makes a good hockey player and each coach gives examples of players they like. Bill Hewitt narrates highlights of the 1960 Stanley Cup finals between Toronto and Montréal, which Montréal won for the fifth year in a row. Danny Gallivan then narrates highlights of the 1961 Stanley Cup finals between Chicago and Detroit, which Chicago won. This footage contains shots of Bobby Hull wearing number 16 on his Blackhawks sweater."
