"This documentary illustrates how ore and coal are mined, followed by the step-by-step process of making coke and steel. Miners extract the ore in a continuous process, working half a mile beneath the surface. On top, huge blast furnaces show white-hot molten metal as it is poured and shaped into rails and plates. Manufacturing plants carry on the process to convert the metal into finished products - ships, structural steel and smaller items."
