"Silent documentary on the colony of Norwegian immigrants settled in the Bella Coola region of British Columbia. Views of fjords, forest-clad mountains, glaciers, waterfalls are shown along with sequences on the life-style and various activities of this immigrant community: farming, rishing and lumbering. Samples of traditional needle-work and other handiwork, as well as gala costumes from their homeland are displayed. Exceptional footage includes shots of salmon swimming upstream and a dog catching a large salmon in his mouth. Descriptive captions are included."
